It’s Called “Catholic” Because…

It’s everywhere.

In an old SF story by Randall Garrett, Despoilers of the Golden Empire,  it is called, The Universal Assembly.  Which is just another way of saying, “Catholic Church”.

The Catholics and Cultures website is trying to make some of this known.

Being Universal, that means all the good and bad, all the saints and sinners, all the good fertilizer and bird droppings get swept up into one bag. Or as James Joyce once said (Finnegans Wake), “Here comes everybody.”

Messy.

In more ways than one… All Over The Place.

Neat stuff, Maynard, neat stuff.
